Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning

We meet together every Sunday morning and our morning service starts at 11.00...

At Vineyard we say ‘Come as you are’ and our meetings are informal, people wear whatever they like and aim to be themselves. It is a relaxed and informal atmosphere and anyone is welcome to come along. We try to make everyone feel welcome, so make sure you say hello and meet someone new. You're really welcome to join us on a Sunday whether you are a church regular or have never been before. Our morning service starts at 11.00 and lasts for about an hour and a half. Come and get a coffee and a doughnut, or sample some home cooked goodies. Free refreshments are served before the service, from 10.30 to 10:50.

At Notre Dame High School we have a fully accessible venue. There is free parking in the school car park and plenty of overflow space on nearby streets.

Sunday Morning Service cafe

Come as you are...

At Vineyard we say ‘Come as you are’ and our Sunday Service is informal. People wear whatever they like and aim to be themselves. Tea, coffee and doughnuts will all be prepared and ready to be served from 10:30. The café will close at 10:50, so come a little early if you want to get something to eat or drink before the service.

Our aim is to make everyone feel welcome, right from their first visit. So, make sure you say hello and meet someone new.

We start with worship

Connecting with God is central to what we do. A live band leads us for about 25 minutes of sung worship. The words are on the screen and you can join in or just sit back and listen.

We Learn Together

After worship and some short notices we have a talk. One of our leaders shares a message that aims to bring the Bible (God's word for us today) to life. The talks aim to bring practical teaching on how to apply it to our everyday lives. It's not just theory; the talks are relevant to our day to day lives and there are always things to put into practice.

Sunday Service - Make a response

and make a response

At the end of the talk we reflect on what we have heard and spend time waiting on God and listening to what He has to say.  After that we have time for people to pray with each other, called 'ministry time'.  Here we pray as a response to a prompting from the Spirit and to address individual needs.  There is the opportunity to choose to follow Jesus or to receive prayer. There is no pressure to participate, but always the chance to respond if you wish

Kids' church

During our morning service, we run age-appropriate interactive groups for 0-11s so they can learn about Jesus in a safe and fun environment. Our volunteer welcome team at the door can help your family settle in the right places. You can sign your children into their groups from 10.45am and the groups finish at 12.30.

GV Youth

The youth team believe in supporting a generation of young people who are connected to community, confident in their identity, equipped with God's word and kingdom minded. We help them to develop their personal relationships with Jesus in order to 'Love God and Love People'. Our young people from S1 upwards meet every Sunday immediately after worship. Each week we check-in with one another, play games, think about applying Scripture to our lives and connect with God.
